Everything Everywhere All At Once exposed for what it really is

Everything Everywhere All At Once exposed
It's the morning after the Oscars 2023.

Yesterday was my 49th birthday and I used the special day to emotionally blackmail (in a kind playful way!) my 93 year old dad (who I care for and who lives with me) to watch a Science Fiction movie. Lately, he finds modern films very complicated to follow, so the fact he agreed to watch a modern sci-fi movie was very kind.

What film did we watch? Well, for a while now, people have been telling me mixed reviews on the film "Everything Everywhere All At Once" but yesterday something in me shouted to watch it on my birthday. So we did.

What a birthday present. What a film.

Weirdly, only a few hours after watching it, the Oscars ceremony began. I hadn't realise it was on, so the timing of it being both my birthday and the day I chose to watch it was perfect.

Whilst I slept, the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" movie won 7 Oscars:

Best Picture: “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Actress: Michelle Yeoh, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Director: Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinert, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Original Screenplay: “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy Quan, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Supporting Actress: Jamie Lee Curtis, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Best Film Editing: “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

Like I said above, it was incredible timing. I have been putting off seeing the movie and then quite literally "All at Once" it's my birthday, I watch it, and the Oscars takes place where it wins all of the above awards.

Why did it win the Oscars? Why do so many people love it?

Okay, if you have read my posts before, you will know I can go very deep. I can blow your mind with analysing the meaning of life. So get ready for me to expose the truth about “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.

The truth is, although the story itself is fictional, the philosphy of it is true.

The reason why it has done so well is it taps into the truth, it taps into, to quote my book, "The Way of Everything". It taps into what we all intrisically know is true. What the Taoist philosophy promotes. It says that although we are one, we should also use this precious time in our unique human form to appreciate everything around us, no matter how mundane something may seem. Most of all it encourages us to always be kind.

As I described in many of my past posts, like this one, "Fact of Everything" or this one "The Search for God and Everything", you are part of a much larger physical and non physical body.

Once you realise this fact you will feel at peace forever more. You will look on your fellow humans as family.

To me, watching “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was not actually stretching the imagination at all, that is how I always think. It all seemed rather normal. What do you think about all this?

PS: Just a quick shout-out to my "universally" connected brother, James Martin, who shares my birthday, and won best live action short film for An Irish Goodbye.
